Unisfair, the leading provider of virtual event platforms for marketing, product development, and internal collaboration is partnering with recruiters and job seekers to host Virtual Job Fairs for Businesses.
This online recruiting tool was created in response to a growing demand by HR leaders to explore more efficient, cost-effective methods of talent acquisition.
A recent survey of over 100 HR professionals conducted by Unisfair found that 64 percent of them believe the hiring cycle could be reduced through virtual job fairs, and as a result, 40 percent of hiring managers are currently exploring the technology.
“An aging workforce, combined with a shrinking talent pool and struggling economy, is putting a host of new pressures on organizations,” says Guy Piekarz, CEO, Unisfair. “Virtual job fairs are helping HR professionals overcome recruiting challenges by enabling them to more cost effectively engage qualified job candidates without leaving their desks.”
Unisfair’s virtual event includes a 3-D rendering of a convention center complete with a main hall, an exhibition floor, a resource center and a job center. Recruiters and job-seekers can interact real-time via email or instant messaging.
More specifically, Unisfair’s Virtual Job Fairs for Business offers the following tools:
· Position Manager - employers can create, post and update positions within booths or job center.
· Resume Screening Engine - qualifies and ranks applicants based on pre-defined employer criteria.
· Reporting - employers can track applicant traffic and activity.
· Resume Manager - job seekers can create, upload and edit their resumes.
· Application Manager - job seekers can submit and track the positions in which they have applied.
Job fair attendees note positive experiences so far.
“We just conducted our first Virtual Job Fair in March that featured several corporate recruiters and the response both from the recruiting companies and the job seekers was so positive we are planning to do the next one in October,” said Brad Pierson of the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society. “The virtual job fair brought in higher-quality candidates internationally. A lot of currently employed people were able to attend, and because it was online we saw candidates from around the world.”
Unisfair has powered over 400 virtual events for enterprise clients including Cisco Systems, IBM, and Quest Software, and for media clients including Nielsen, CMP, Rogers Publishing and Penton Media. The company, headquartered in Menlo Park, CA, recently won the Software CEO/CompTIA Most Innovative Service Award.
