A new survey further proves that the popularity of mobile is continuing to grow.
GetJar, an independent mobile apps store, recently released a survey that found consumers prefer mobile Web to PC Web.
The survey polled 15,000 GeJar users and found that 68 percent use the Web more on their mobile phone than on their PC. Of the respondents, 50 percent said they download a mobile app at least once a week. About 36 percent of respondents said they’re more likely to find out about mobile apps from friends, while 21 percent said they find out about apps from browsing and search.
About 33 percent of respondents said the most popular time to use mobile applications is before going to bed, while 27 percent of respondents said they use mobile applications when they are waiting for someone or something.
GetJar has downloaded 400 million mobile applications, a 200 percent increase from last year. The company sees around 30 million app downloads each month, second only to the Apple App Store.
