Canadian newspaper National Post is now integrating 2-D barcodes within their publication, powered by Scanlife, in an effort to revitalize their advertising offerings.
Although incredibly popular in places like Japan, the technology has yet to really take off in the U.S. The opportunity, however, is real and should be an area of pursuit for newspapers and any offline marketing strategy.
