A new job board called MoneyBackJobs.com rewards job seekers with a bonus of 5 to 7.5 percent of their starting salary.

Employers pay $50 to post a job on MBJ. When an applicant is hired, companies also pay 12 percent of the candidate’s salary to the job site.

Here’s the kicker: MBJ offers job seekers cash rewards to remove their resumes from job boards. Most likely job seekers will be reluctant to comply with such a request, especially in such a sluggish economy where people looking for a job want to get as much exposure as possible.

“With MoneyBackJobs.com, we wanted to give people a break from the standard, stuffy, and boring job board,” said CEO Mark Thomas. “Job seekers who use our site get cash for accepting a job, and employers pay substantially less for getting their pick of the talent pool. Both parties get incentives for making their listings exclusive to MoneyBackJobs.com. We’re pioneering a more efficient model for connecting job seekers and employeres that rewards both sides.

The concept of the sides sounds lot similar to NotchUp.com, in which companies pay job seekers for the opportunity to interview them. In this case, job seekers have a couple different ways to earn some extra cash. But does the site offer enough incentive to keep a monogamous relationship between job board and job seeker?

Thomas thinks so. “This will eventually result in a more efficient job market with businesses spending less money to attract the right talent and professionals getting bonuses for finding the jobs they want. When people get used to our rewards structure, it will be difficult for them to go anywhere else.”

CollegeGrad.com, an entry-level job site, released the list of Top 25 Cities for Entry-Level Job Seekers, with New York coming in at number one.

CollegeGrad.com, an entry-level job site, has released its list of Top 25 Cities for Entry-Level Job Seekers. New York, Houston, and Los Angeles top the list, respectively.

Together the 25 cities boast 40,000 entry level job openings across 16 states. Entry-level openings in New York account for at least 3,600 jobs, while Houston has 2,500 openings.

Other cities on the list include Los Angeles at number three with more than 2,400 openings, and Boston at number four, finishing just behind Los Angeles and launching into the Top 5 Cities for the first time. Philadelphia rounded out the Top 5 with 2,100 entry level job openings, bringing the grand total of the top 5 cities to 13,100.

A recent CollegeGrad.com poll found that 85 percent of entry level job seekers would be open to relocating across the state, across the nation, or even internationally.

“The willingness to relocate shows a potential employer that you are a flexible and dedicated employee who has the maturity to manage and embrace change,” said Leslie Chappell, Director of University Relations for Lockheed Martin.

To help determine the cost of living and salaries for different cities, CollegeGrad.com offers an online Cost-of-Living Wizard tool.

VentureLoop, a job site exclusively for emerging venture-backed companies, has launched CleanLoop, a job site specializing in cleantech companies.

VentureLoop, a job site specializing in job postings from venture-backed growth companies, has launched CleanLoop, a job site dedicated to advertising vacancies within emerging solar, alternative fuels, advanced materials, and software technology companies.

Cleantech is a term used to describe knowledge-based products or services that improve operational performance, productivity, or efficiency while reducing costs, inputs, energy consumption, waste, or pollution.

“As the number of cleantech job opportunities continue to surface, job candidates will have the option to locate emerging cleantech companies,” said Jeremy McCarthy, CEO of VentureLoop. “With more than 600 venture-backed companies at VentureLoop, we’re excited to branch out with a site focused on our client base that is in a market that is poised for immediate and long-term growth.”

According to Wikipedia, the North American cleantech venture capital investment covers more than $8.8 billion of cleantech venture investments over a 10-year period (from 1999 through to the end of 2005) and projects cleantech investment to the end of 2009.

Reports forecast that capital dedicated to cleantech could total $10 billion from 2005 through 2009. With so many companies expanding, hiring functions will be driven towards finding job seekers with prior experience in the cleantech industry.

June through August, while CleanLoop is in its beta phase, job postings are free for companies. Bloggers and cleantech websites will also be able to add the CleanLoop widget to their site to display the latest news in the industry.

Social media professionals now have a dedicated social networking site just for them. It’s called Social Media Jobs.

Jobs in Social Media launches as marketplace for finding social media talent

Social media professionals now have a dedicated social networking site just for them. It’s called Jobs in Social Media and it sees the social media job market as a fast riser in the new economy.

Created by veteran job board entrepreneur Chris Russell and his Social Media Intern, Hannah Hershey, a student at Penn State University, the site offers a job board, jobs wanted and other content such as video, blogs and discussion groups related to working in the social media industry.

“Companies are beginning to create social media jobs in an effort to tap into the popular sites like Facebook” says Chris Russell. “It makes sense to offer a place for these talented new media geeks to find jobs and be found”, he adds.

When people join they are asked a series of questions to help classify themselves and link to their blog, or digital profile. This will allow recruiters coming to the site and easy way to identify candidates for their hiring needs. For instance a social media web developer could post a link to his LinkedIn profile while providing a snap shot of his skills. Candidates are also asked to name their “Dream Social Media Job”.

Social media jobs comprise roles as bloggers, podcasters, online community managers, social media marketers and developers. As today’s college graduates enter the workforce, companies have to begin cultivating relationships with them as both marketer and recruiter. These sites are the new platforms for communicating with the next generation workforce.

In addition, many of the new online startups are social media related so there is a tremendous need for workers with social media skills. Jobs in Social Media will showcase many of these sites in its blog and tell you what jobs they have open.

The site is now open for all those who seek work in social media. Find social media jobs and be found at jobsinsocialmedia.com.
